There were over 20 post offices in each county, including Ollin and Elida in Franklin, and Morris and Greenhill in Grundy County.
Name changes included Benjamin which later became Hampton and Orion as the first name of Grundy Center. Also Carleton was the first name of Popejoy and Shobe’s Grove of Sheffield. Andersonville was the first name of Fern. Colter was the first spelling of Coulter and Wellsburgh for Wellsburg.
